RCB Release Another Star Player...Who?...Why?

Royal Challengers Bangalore has released Mitchell Starc for the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), just a day before the auction. However, Starc has decided to skip the tournament and will not be the part of the auction as well.

Starc, who is already in India to participate in the four-match Test series against the hosts has possibly decided to skip the tournament keeping in the mind upcoming Champions Trophy. He needs to fit for the tournament as the tall and lanky pacer is the leader of the Australian bowling line-up, whose success heavily depends upon him and Josh Hazelwood.
Former pacer Mitchell Johnson has already warned Starc and Hazelwood of a possible burnout and this move can be seen as an opportunity for him to take enough rest before the Champions Trophy and for the Ashes series later this year, where Kangaroos will look to regain the title from England.
Starc has been part of RCB since 2014. He has performed well for the team as he bagged 14 wickets in his first season and followed with 20 wickets in the next season. He skipped the last season of the league as he was recovering from a foot fracture which he suffered in November 2015.
RCB now has one extra slot for an overseas player and can snare a total of two foreign players now.
RCB squad: Virat Kohli (capt), Chris Gayle, 3 KL Rahul (wk), AB De Villiers, Shane Watson, Kedhar Jadhav, Stuart Binny, Yuzvendra Chahal, Iqbal Abdulla, S Aravind, Harshal Patel, Mandeep Singh, Adam Milne, Sarfaraz Khan, Samuel Badree, Travis Head, Sachin Baby, Avesh Khan, Tabraiz Shamsi.
